Turner Adds New Concert Dates To Tour

Tina Turner has added eight concert dates to her upcoming North American tour, which is scheduled to launch Oct. 1 at the Sprint Center in Kansas City, Mo. The singer's 36-date arena trek wraps with a Dec. 12-13 stand at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto.
Tickets for the newly added shows -- which include performances in Dallas, Houston, Atlanta, Detroit, Washington, D.C., Philadelphia, New York and Toronto -- go on sale Sept. 15. AEG Live is promoting Turner's North American jaunt.
Turner's May 12 appearance on "The Oprah Winfrey Show" will re-air around the outing's launch, which is her first tour since 2000. Dates are on the books through early April in Europe.
Additionally, Turner will release a compilation on Sept. 30 via Capitol. "Tina!" features 16 hits from throughout Turner's career, and will include two new songs, "It Would Be a Crime" and "I'm Ready."
